Like it or not, the Noodle has the option to check out of a play into another play. He is either not willing to do that this year (especially when it comes to checking into a run when a blitz comes) cause he wants to pad his passing stats or he is getting confused by what the defense is showing cause this team clearly looks like it is running a play that the defense expects.
It's not like this new obsession with me is the only example of your problems, you know.

I do believe there's another fairly obvious example.

You admitted to getting confused cause they didn't show the numbers.
No, I never said anything remotely like that.

    Why would I?

I've actually been quite interested in Webb's talents since the exhibition games and I've always known his number is #14.

I've also always thought it was quite ironic that the the number of the decidedly UNlucky Jackson is SEVEN.

So.....unless you can give me link to a post where I said that......you're screwed.
OK, just this one time, I don't normally like to pull up old posts, but then we need to get back to your lesson plan. Remember, there will be a test/quiz on monday.

I was going by their numbers, so that doesn't help.

The camera hit #14 a number of times when they were discussing Favre's interception. I didn't see that other little guy.

So get real. Obviously they're going to concentrate on the successor to Favre's crown.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

So how would that show I don't know Webb from Jackson?

It actually shows that I know EXACTLY who Webb is.....the successor to Favre's crown.

    You didn't get that?

Mardro.....you seem to be having a breakdown of some kind.

I've been a little rough on you lately, maybe too rough, and I realize that now.

If I have pushed you over the edge....I'm sorry.

Why don't you just take a little time off?

That you would post this truly shows how little you know about football.

Joe Webb is YEARS away from being ready to be a competent backup, let alone be a starter.

Of course, but he is still the successor to Favre's crown.

It sure as hell won't be Jackson.

And if you think Webb couldn't be pressed into service very soon by injury and incompetence (Favre and Jackson) then that shows how little YOU know about football.

Pressed into service is a skosh different from being a successor.

Playing Joe Webb is telling the fan base, the team and the rest of the NFL that the Vikings' season is over.

Re: The Official Help Infidel Learn the Players Thread

Actually, if it came from necessity, it would not be telling us that the season is over.....it would create a lot of excitement and interest.

I'd see it as a lucky outcome.....and probably better than what we actually will see.

Webb has tremendous ability, he is intelligent and there's no reason not to regard him as Favre's successor--since there is no other alternative at this time.

Untested QBs have stepped up and excelled in the past, so it's not like this would be an unprecedented or unlikely outcome.

    Successor? Who said that?

Maybe we draft his successor. Or trade/aquire one.

I have never read, seen nor heard of anyone (but fans) saying this guy is being groomed to be a successor.

He is our 3rd option, most successors would probably be the second option right behind the guy they call the "starter".

Hell, he could go through his entire (short) NFL career being nothing more than he is now...nothing.

I will be honest about something here. I really do not buy into all the stuff Marr is selling around here. But this thread...he hit the nail on the head.

Please give me another cup of the Marr Kool Aid. Yum yum.

And maybe Jackson will win MVP next year.

    Maybe pigs will fly.

That prediction and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee at MacDonald's.

Right now there's a better chance that Webb plays due to injury and incompetence (Favre and Jackson).

And, as I said, young and untested QBs have succeeded before and Webb is one of the best of such that I have ever seen.

    We shall see.

I haven't seen too many of your predictions coming true prior to this, so pardon me if I'm underwhelmed by the value of your opinions about Webb (or me).

I see things alot more clear with you now.

What predictions of mine do you refer to? I seldom post anymore. Just curious.

So, only you are "predicting" that Webb is the successor to Favre?

I am not, nor have ever been a TJ fan. But how can you judge his incompetance if he has not really played this year?

But on the same token you can crown Webb...even though he has not played this year.

    Laughable.
