The problem is we need a heckuva a lot more than a first round pick or two. This franchises' issues are systemic, starting with crook owners all the way down to personel. Speilman should be gone for wasting a pick and three years on Ponder. Frazier, Musgrave, and Williams should be gone because they can't get the best out of the players, and some players should be gone because they either don't care or can't play. The waterboy is probably ok to stay, but keep an eye on him.
Ed Werder just reported live on ESPN that the decision to start Freeman was made by the coaching staff. He also reported that he spoke with a "veteran player on the Vikings" and asked the question, "what do you think about participating in a QB experiment." The player, not named, replied, "that's too deep to get into right now."
The players seemingly love Frazier. But, not giving them a chance to win, if they perceive that to be the case, will cause a major dent in the armor.
Losing, will cause many more. Anyone see a victory on the horizon?
Packers - Home
Cowboys - away
'Skins - home (SNF...serenity now)
Seahawks - away
Packers - away
Bears - home
Ravens - away
Eagles - home
Bengals - away
Lions - home
Frazier may be falling on his sword to keep up the perception that he's running the team and to keep Wilfs out of the fire. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Either admit the brass is calling the shots and look powerless or take responsibility for the "experiment" and look incompetent.
Doesn't really look like there is another one anytime soon... Maybe the Bears if Jay Cutler is still hurt but even that doesn't look like a possibility now...

That decision was almost as bad as giving John Carlson 25mil for 5 years... idiotic!!!
Freeman's original contract with the Buc's was 6 mill for the season, the Vikes signed him to a 2 mill for 11 games or what would have been a 3 mill deal for a full season....also if the vikes cut him now since he was signed after week one they don't owe him the remainder of his contract.....while the Buc's still are paying Freeman

I'm just wondering if Frazier was brought in to manage the players, while the "power players" decide how to run the team and the game. I LIKE Frazier the man, so maybe I'm reaching for straws in his defense.
Doesn't seem like Frazier tells anyone to do anything... he just sorta stands on the sidelines with this look on his face:

If the owner has some integrity ,he must fire all this stable, this is embarrasing for this franchise...
