TOM POWERS: Minnesota Vikings and Brett Favre could be a great fit

If he wants to play for a Super Bowl title, he could do worse than join the Vikings if Green Bay releases him.

Let's summarize all the reports and rumors flying around: Brett Favre "itching" to play. Packers cool to the idea. Favre talks to head coach about possible return. Packers cool to the idea. Favre asks for release. Packers cool to the idea....

Well for our hopes of a superbowl this would be the best news ever. But i don't think Favre is returning, and maybe if he has a gold green hart he isn't comming down here.

But i think a lot of people ( unlike me ) would puke only at the idea of him in purple... He's been a packer for how many years? As a player i'd love him here but as the Packers QB Favre i say no

4) The 38-year-old quarterback pulls a groin while walking the dog, ending all comeback hopes.

It will never happen, but if it did it would be disheartening to all the cheesdicks out there.

Imagine being at the prime-time Vikings vs. Packers game the first game of the season when the Packers are retiring Favre's #4 jersey. Wouldn't it be quite odd for the Packers to honor Brett Favre at a game where he's wearing a Vikings jersey?

:-\ I really do think that he is coming back.
He may pull a Jordan and return. I think the Packers will keep him if he wants to play.
But the question to the article was, is Favre a good fit for the Vikings?
I say..... MAYBE.
And that maybe has to do with TJack.
Do they honestly feel he is ready to be a Probowl QB? And are they satisfied with the team leadership at QB? But I give it a moment and say theres no way will he stay in the NFC North.
The Packers would be fools.....

If he were to leave the Pack I would say either Tampa or the NY Jets.
I feel they would give a third rounder for a trade for him.
But that is doubtful in my mind......

That would be nice, have him finish his honorary moment by mooning the crowd, let him slice up the packer's defense and then let him ride the pine the rest of the year for being such a pain in the ass to this org.

I could see him coming back, but not to us or the Bears. If anything, GB would trade him out of the NFCN, maybe to the Bucs. Gruden is probably drooling at the thought of getting Favre.

I can't see him in anything but the hideous green and gold....he would be foolish to come back. What happends to Veteran QB's when they go to another franchise? Usually they get hurt and or don't perform to the legendary status they aquire to me that would be a huge mistake.

too bad this will never happen, one the packers own his rights, so they would have to trade him to us(not gonna happen) or get cut(which isnt gonna happen) and im glad, go TJack
