Official Browns vs Vikings Postgame Thread

    Not bad.
It was the first game, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised there are some kinks to work out.
A true test of a good coach is making adjustments; whether it is at half or from game to game.

Way to go Brett and AD!!!

    Thank God they won.
Living in NE Ohio, it would've never lived it down!!!

    About what I expected

I am going to predict that we come out and win big against Cleveland.

At this point I believe our offense is only going to be at 30% capacity at most, but against the Browns that is going to be more than enough.

Our defense will be stifling and will give us turnovers and great field position all day. Similar to what we had against Indy last year. The difference will be that they don't have Manning and Brett will be more aggressive than Jackson with the ball and that will lead to more TD's and fewer FG's.

    Vikings 35
    Cleveland 10
Still kinks to work out but it looks like the changes at QB and OL will end up a long term positive and Harvin is looking like a great choice in the 1st round.

IMHO the playcalling is still suspect.

    Edit.

The TD run by AD was maybe the most impressive display of speed, power and refusal to surrender I have seen.

Ad is wondeful! So glad we have him.

1st half was bad. Real bad. Terrible blocking, STs were bad, play calling was worse.

Second half was great because they lets Farve air ir out a little. Openned up AD.

Why do the Refs hate us?

Simple. First half offense tried to be something they weren't. It didn't work.
Second half they went back to what they are; a physical running team.

    Special teams need more work.

Pass blocking and Sullivan need more work.

Favre and receivers, especially Favre, needs more work.

Percy Harvin is better than I expected.

Defense was pretty good on a hot day.

They will all get better as the season progresses.

Ultra, don't forget pH in the mix.

Favre is out to make him a star.

I also like how we threw to Rice.

Our D didn't seem "great" but they did get some sacks on Brady who is a mobile QB, IMHO.

    Good 2nd half for sure.
    APAD was awesome.
    Chester played well.

The only thing that urked me was the first call of the game by Chilly.

Why the heck did we try an onside kick right away.
Stupid decision and could have cost us 7 points instead of only 3.
We really lucked out on that one.

    Go Vikes!!

This game should have been 34-4.

For one, that stupid onside kick thing was ridiculous. When you have a defense like we do you don't need to get the ball first.

Two: Stupid Special Teams. If we don't get our ST under control we will not go anywhere.

Three: I hate the prevent defense... why would you allow the Browns to score on you?

Otherwise I thought everyone played great. Favre managed the game, Sidney definitely showed he is a deep threat and Peterson is still amazing.

Our offensive line needs some work and a few other little things., but otherwise we are looking pretty good. We have 2 more games to get in shape and than we really need to step up.

Not a perfect game by any means, but I'm happy with the win.

Liked seeing Favre step up and jump start the offense with that pass to Rice (that got flagged for interference but lead to a TD).

Loved Peterson destroying the Browns...especially when he threw the guy away from him.

Thought the line was servicable, but needed work on the Left side.
Not thrilled with McKinnie...but I haven't been for about 4 years.
    Nothing new there.

Think the receivers need to get open.

All in all, we looked rusty but good.
I hope we continue to knock the rust off and can dominate Detroit next week.
