    Not getting the point.

If he isn't here and we don't win it all what will be the difference? You will feel better failing with a less talented QB?

    I understand that.

**** it. Lets sign his old giggly butt and see what happens. If it fails, we become a joke franchise. If we win, then LOL at every other team.
    We're bringing purple back.

No more than you strong TJack supporters would be mad at anyone if TJack got the job and that blew up in our face.

The most important thing to realize is that there are no guarantees with any player.
What we have is the possibility of acquiring a player that gives us the better chance to win, simple as that.
True we'll get that same poohie feeling if we underachieve again regardless but I do think we lose more in the short future here with Favre as opposed to Sage/Tarvaris. I guess if you're not someone who has faith in either T-Jack or Sage though, that probably doesn't make sense.

    Very.

We will never be as bad as you TJ supporters who every season believe this year Tj's is going to become the greatest Qb ever, then go on to blame everyone for his errant throws, poor decisions and refusal to slide. Oli

To say ifne, WR, RB and TE. It's everyone faults but Tj's. " he is really a Pro bowl Qb if he had the weapons"
You act as if it's been going on for 5 years. What it boils down to is we see a QB who just finished his 3rd season, 2nd season starting, that has improved every season and believe he's ready to start and be consistent now. And I don't think it's wrong to believe the "we're one QB away" talk is dead wrong and when we bring in Favre, that can easily be proven by him not winning a Super Bowl. (Although I'd GLADLY trade being wrong for a Vikings' Super Bowl) lol.
TO say if we don't win a
Ring then Farve being on the team is a waste is crazy. What if half of our Defense gets injuried? Will you still blame Farve. Last season was last season and we gave a way a chane to go all the way. This season we are playing a much tougher schedule. TJ will not be enough to beat the Steelers. Farve, who was a Pro Bowler last season ma be. Of all our QBs have any ever been to the pro bowl? That should tell you that he is an improvement already. TJ needs to sit his arse down, read up, get his game polished and then try again next season.

How does it change how our franchise is viewed by the football community? Do the names Jim McMahon, Randall Cunningham, Warren Moon, Archie Manning, Jeff George etc ring a bell? Our franchise is synonymous with signing old QB's past their peaks.

Maybe at some point the law of averages may work to our favor ;D

Signing Randall did great things for this team.

we move a year after that
    LA has nice weather.
A comfortable 67 degrees and partly cloudy.

    Make Favre compete.

If the Vikings don't win the SB, Favre retires again and the Vikes are 1 year back in terms of team progression.

Eli won a Super Bowl, not saying T-Jack is even close to Manning but, there were... similarities.

Re: FAVRE WATCH: "The pieces are in place, WE could be very good." says Favre

I'm a big time advocate of Favre joining the Vikings and I can tell from his interview he would be exited to join at full strength. IMO this move would be highly benificial to Tarvaris Jackson, Brett Favre admitted in his recent words that he can "teach" the system. Brett Favre is going to put his own impact on the KAO. Not only short term but long term through the abilities of the guys coming up. If Tarvaris is what I think he is, he won't be cut from this team, instead he'll have earned the opportunity to learn from a QB legend of the West Coast Offense. A master at what he does in not only how he plays the system on the field but his overall character traits. Any good football player is going to want to be around other good players, so far Jackson's attitude toward this potential situation has been tremendous. I think he would take full advantage of a great opportunity to further "learn".

One of my all time favorite players. But the end result supports my statement.
