Simply having the most rushing yards, does not mean you are the best RB in the league.
The best RB's in the league are those that can run, are good at catching passes & are good at pass blocking.
AD only qualifies in one of those categories.

Re: The Official Adrian Peterson Thread
what if we trade AD for some O line players, then magically pick up Sprolls off of San Diego. Start Chestor Taylor and have Sprolls?

Yeah. What would be wrong with trading him before other teams realize he can't hold onto the ball
Give the ball more to Chester and get a more improved o-line
It sucks having the NFL rushing leader on our team.
How about we teach said NFL rushing champion to catch the ball and pick-up blitzers?
Hmm?
Or would you rather go back to the days when the likes of Onterrio Smith or Ciatrick Fason were toting the rock for the Vikings?

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Re: The Official Adrian Peterson Thread
AD may not be the best RB in the league at this time, but he's very close to being just that " The Best "....Lets not forget, young RB's in the NFL, need time and experience to grow and fine tune their skills at a new level of play.
Ask me who the Best RB in the NFL is in two more years.
I can tell you the answer today if you like.
Without a doubt in my mind, AD will be that player.
Now just surround him with a solid line, Solid QB, very good WR's, and he will not only be the Best RB in the NFL, but possibly the Best RB in NFL History......He can and will, be that good
JMHO

PS:
Not to forget, Coaches who will use him properly also.....Thats a very big piece to the puzzle also.

I wouldn't want to trade AP but I would tell you if there was a way we were able to obtain Sproles I wouldn't rule out the chance to trade AP for a great QB and a solid RT.
Teams would give up a lot for AP and it wouldn't be out of the question.
IMO Sproles can do it all as a RB and has almost as much explosion as does AP.
Not only that but he can catch out of the back field and block for a little guy (although I have seen him get blown over too). Then add the fact he is an awesome kick and punt returner.
That being said I wouldn't trade AP unless we were able to sure up the right side of the line, get a proven QB and get someone like Sproles.
Then and only then would I think about trading AP.

Maybe BLV has to hate on AD in order for the PP.O prophecy to be fulfilled. When AD rises up and overcomes his human like imperfections (fumbling, catching, blocking), and helps win us the Superbowl.

Chester is a better west coast RB and could be the primary back on most teams in the league.
