===============================================
Okay...for those who paid any attention to my first predictions, I was a bit more conservative with the wins as opposed to the losses. Having had some time to peruse our schedule, however, I'm a bit more optimistic. I was worried about the Miami game, because if it wound up being early in the year, like September, the stifling heat and humidity would play a big factor. With it being towards the end of November, though, I like their chances better.
Actually, the timing of all the outdoor games was pretty much the major factor in my prediction change. Well, except for the Washington game...I think Gibbs is just gonna flat outcoach Childress in his regular-season debut. As for the loss to the Rams...that's just gonna be a rest for the starters, since we'll have the division locked up after we beat the Pack.
:thumbleft:  :thumbright:
Note: This prediction is subject to change, depending on how well the Draft goes, and how healthy the team is coming out of Training Camp and Preseason games.

Re: My Season Prediction v2.0
I hope you're right, seeming as we won't have to worry about another 2nd half collapse with Ticey gone
I Love Kerry Collins (and John Rocker).

Re: My Season Prediction v2.0
Alot of places have Arizona taking Culter or Young at 10 if they do that I'd be alot more worried than with Warner behind center. Boldin and Fitzgerald would accually have a mobile QB and Edge to pull the heat off them abit and open up passing.
Beyond that one I hope your right, really would love to see the Vike run through everyone this year to the playoffs.

Re: My Season Prediction v2.0
I agree with most of your predictions except for the loss to St. Louis, I dont think the division will be locked up, i think we'll win that game but otherwise I really hope ur right.

Re: My Season Prediction v2.0
I agree on all but 3 games. I think we will beat the Redskins, lose to the seahawks(although i really want us to beat them!) and we beat the rams. then lets say we face the seahawks in the nfc championship game!(and win)
Yes very optimistic

Re: The Official 2006 Prediction Thread
I think 12 wins is a little optimistic with a new coaching staff and all but here's my go at it.
Wash - Loss
Car- Loss
Chi- Win
Buf- Win
Det- Win
Sea- Loss
NE- Win
SF- Win
GB- Win
Mia- Loss (note if CPepp plays we WIN, he can't read the cover 2)
AZ- Win
Chi- Loss
Det- Loss
Jets- Win
GB- Win
SL- Loss
9 and 7 or 10 and 6
Next year should be markedly improved with a full year with the same coaches.
When was the last time we had all the same coaches back from one year to the next?I.B.O.T. #213

I think 12 wins is viewing the world through purple glasses. I would love for it to happen, I just don't see it... I predict a tough start but strong finish.

-- Bye--
Sea- Loss

Finish the season 10-6. Probably be in the wild card for playoffs. We willhave a 5-1 divisionl record, so we may even take the NFC North...Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: The Official 2006 Prediction Thread
10-6 this year is a real possibility IMHO. But it could be a bit worse just because of the brutal start to the season and with all the changes in personnel and coaching staff. I think we may need 2-3 games under the belt before we come on strong at the end of the season. I think us starting out the first three games 1-2 is a real possibility.

Re: The Official 2006 Prediction Thread
I agree with NodakPaul's predictions on every one except the Redskins game. I know they are a tough team and have had a great free agency, but I have to go with my gut and say that we will win that game. Dont know why I feel so strongly about that, I just think we will win that game for sure.

Re: The Official 2006 Prediction Thread
good point about taking a few games to get "comfortable".. that is usually the case... so, what I like about that is, it's during the toughest part of our schedule (where we might not fair too well at any point of the season).. rather that, than losing to a team we would beat later in the season if we were finally playing as a team..
