For a lot of reasons, Aundrae Allison wasn't supposed to make it to the National Football League...

    Thanks singer.
    Good read.

Nice article on "who is AA".
He really does have a ton of potential.
I imagine the discusssion around "drafting genius" if we have our starting RB, WR1 (Rice), WR2 (AA) from the same draft class.
I really think this could be the case in 2009 when those two guys his the magical year 3 for WRs.
People will be talking about our 2007 draft class for years to come.

    Excellent read.

Heading into the draft, he was projected as a third-round pick by some media outlets, but getting selected in the fifth round motivated him to prove his worth.
That kindof shit equates to a very good scouting staff and a VP of Player Personnel that has a fricken clue on how to draft.

Allison said he will spend the next month training in Miami. He plans to work with private coaches and with other NFL players, such as New England Patriots tight end Ben Watson and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes.
I love to read crap like that.
Initiative, self starter, looking to make himself better on his own.

Props to the front office for getting kids like this for the coaching staff to coach.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

He will effortlessly surpass the former #1, Williamson.
Interesting that he also wants to be a screenwriter.

I loved him pre-draft and when the vikings picked him I was ecstatic. I remember he was there in the 4th round and I was pissed that we didn't pick him... only to find out later that he would STILL be available in the 5th. Glad the vikings pounced on that one and got a steal of a WR late. Now to improve on that rookie season will be a whole new task altogether. With Mewelde likely gone I would love to see him get some reps as a punt returner since he showed such an affinity for returning kicks.

I hope that is the case.
    I would love it.

Cross my fingers and I will make a birthday wish when I blow the candles out, my b-day is not until Nov so I would appreciate it if someone will make that wish in the meantime.

Just seems like there are many variables that prevent our dreams from coming true.
Or do we know our dreams are really the best for ourselves.

I want to win, I am tired of our lack of WR production on the field.
I don't care who plays, I just want some production and I want it consistent.
I might be asking a lot, but I want some QB production also.
    LOL!

You are right, this has potential to be one of the best draft classes we have had.

In mini-camps and preseason camp, Allison heeded the advice of such Vikings as 13-year veteran fullback Tony Richardson, running back Chester Taylor and safety Dwight Smith. They taught him to do "the little things," such as catching extra passes and running extra cones after practice and conditioning his body for the season's grueling long haul.

I like hearing this kind of stuff. Snow, I've made a Valentine's Day wish, and a b'day one soon.
