That's easy to say when they've just been running around in shorts.
However, I DO hope it is true.

What a difference between his attitude and Winfield's.

Re: O-line better by 'leaps and bounds'

The adjustment was significant enough that Hutchinson said he felt like a rookie at times, and he wasn't the only one.

McKinnie, in his fifth season with the Vikings, said he also struggled with the changes.

"Two years ago, I felt I had a really good year," he said. "Last year, I kind of stepped back a little bit because I was kind of unsure what they wanted me to do at times. Now I'm getting back to the understanding, and my technique and everything is starting to get a lot better."
I tried to give him a comment about maybe writing an article/doing some real reporting on what it takes to install a Zone Blocking scheme but seems that my comment wouldn't go in.

Re: O-line better by 'leaps and bounds'

I think it is reasonable to see better performance from the O-line this year since it is the second year in the Zone blocking system.
Being familiar with the scheme is very important.
If the right side "gets it" we will be in good shape (or at least better than last year).
Especially if the receivers develope into a serviceable unit.

He already got his cash...Winfield will change his tune when he gets his.

Re: O-line better by 'leaps and bounds'

The right side of the line still is suspect, with second-year man Ryan Cook currently starting at tackle and Artis Hicks and Marcus Johnson competing at guard, but Hutchinson said he isn't concerned with that or the general lack of expectations for the Vikings.
    Why the hell not?
I keep having nightmares where we have midgets playing RG and RT.

Well at least it sounds Cook is set at RT.
We might see pretty early how good last years draft was.

Likely Cook, Greenway, Griffin, T-Jack starting and maybe even Raymond Edwards and Greg Blue starting, if not playing significant amount of time.
    Damn thats all of em.

I don't remember the exact quote(s) from the staff but wasn't it something along the lines of.......

"Were gonna build through the draft"?

If the plan is working I would assume we will see members of this draft making significant contributions as well.

Gonna be ugly at times, but also fun as well.
We'll have to see how many fairweather fans stick around for the ride
    ;D
