Northstar Commuter line will offer special schedule to service Vikings games

    http://www.metrotransit.org/Northsta....asp#schedules

Saturday and Sunday schedules are not yet available, but trips will be scheduled to serve major sporting events (Vikings football beginning Nov. 22 and Twins baseball in 2010) and entertainment activities in downtown Minneapolis.
I know this was mentioned in another thread, but I think this deserves its own.
Starting with the Seahawks game, Vikings fans coming from the north side of the city can hop on the Northstar line at Big Lake and ride it all the way in to downtown Minny for Vikings games.

I don't know about you, but I am pumped for this.
It will definately help my commute!
And for onlu $5.25 it is definately worth it!

    That is well worth it.
    Awesome!

MPLS is on top of it.
I hope that people use this option and make it a success.

Sounds good, i like the idea of relaxing all the way there.

The question is, when are they going to integrate st. paul in the mix for wild games, state hockey tournament, concerts and everything else in st. paul.

Also, is it $5.25 each way or round trip?
    RT= deal
One way= not really, for me at least. It doesn't cost me $10.50 in gas to get to the game.

Cost me 20.00 to park the last time I was there.

It will probably cost you to park at the rail to get on the T.

As StCCLOUD asked...The $5.25 is each way.
Still a deal in my opinion (especially for me since I live 4 miles from the train).
I can easily have somebody pick me up if I've been drinking.

My concern is still with what time the first train will depart on game day.
If it isn't until 10:00 than I would pass.
I'm hoping for something that leaves BL no later than 8:00AM.
Can't find anything specific on times though.

Anyone know if there will be a train after the Chicago Monday night game on 12/20?
