Thread: No wonder Vikings Cap Number Is Down!

I think the Vikings have $11 million over the cap this year. That's way down from last year if I remember correctly.
Here's why?

Joe Horn 4 years 19 million 7.5 guaranteed

5 years 15 million 4 guaranteed

Visanthe Shiancoe 5 years 18 million 8.2 guaranteed.... yeah i know but...

Daniel Graham 5 years 30 million 15 mil guaranteed

Except for Shianco have any of them been on the field this year?

P.S. I picked this up off another site so I can't vouch for the figures but it shocked me!

First off, I think he means under the cap, not over the cap.

Secondly, I believe he is saying that even though V-Shi seems to be overpaid, compared to Grahm he's making a lot less.

And Wade is making considerably less than Horn or Bennett.

Thirdly, I think he is not stating that Bennett, Horn & Grahm are Vikings. He's using them as a salary comparison & not familiar with how much these guys are used by their respective teams.

This is interesting.

Even if you see that they have been on the field, according to the numbers, Cojo's observation is pretty good. It's not like these other FAs have been that much of difference makers.

Even if I have been a little tough on Shank-O lately, I have no reason to believe that it would have been any better had we brought in any of these other names.
