No Sellout, 56,000 only. ??!!?
Definitely something I wonder about...
Dome holds 64k.
Season tickets is 54k.
Attendance today is only 56k.
That is only 2,000 walk ups/single game sales. 8,000 empty seats and it was very noticable. First no-sellout since 1997.
Have even noted that the tailgate lot takes much longer to fill if it does over last few years....
Where are the fans....watching at home on their big screens? Has the NFL finally reached a point its too expensive to go very often, especially in a soft economy?
It can't because we had a down year or two....right?

Yeah that is surprising, especially for a home opener. Hopefully the fans show up next home game!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Ouch. I wish I could have been there but I was watching from Vegas and I didn't plan correctly.

Due to the newly adopted "Blackout" policy, the number of tickets that needed to be sold to be a sellout was 6,000 less than it was a year ago.
Even though the stadium was emptier, it sounds like ticket sales still hit the 90% mark to avoid the "no-sellout" & the blackout. Is that correct?

For ever what it's worth, the twins were playing 10 blocks away. While the twins are in a down year, it's still a major league baseball game jn a 3 year old outdoor stadium.

Everyone is saving their money to pay for the new stadium taxes!

As long as the games don't get blacked out, I'm not too worried. That means more $5 tickets and easier for me to justify making the trip.

I plan packing the longboat and making my way west, from Ontario Canada. Finally.
Just need to get a couple paychecks under my belt first. So amped.
