I doubt they would eliminate the Lambeau leap from the repertoire of the most overrated team in the league ---> Packers.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

The packers were warned Mon. night when D. Driver jumped in the stands. They were penalized later, when Hawthorn jumped in after the fumble return.

Again, thanks for absolutely fuckin' nothing NBA

    That Blows.

This is really becoming the no fun league.

Players only do it at their own stadiums, it is not a problem and I can't ever see it that way. It isn't like someone can know where or when a player goes into the stands.

Tags dropped the ball on this one. Or accidentally kicked it out of bounds trying to pick up the fumble or something like that. Anyway they F'd up on this one.

It looked too much like FUN cut it out like a cancer.

I can understand limiting excessive celebrations. A player who starts breakdancing in the middle of the field for sacking the QB or for making the 1st down catch is a bit extreme, but what else do the players have to do. The league has put an end to almost all celebrations, and for a team like Green Bay the Lambeau Leap is a part of the field's mystique. It's a game for crying out loud.
I know that the league is just trying to ensure the safety of it's players and their fans however, in light of everything else they have stopped, this is just a bad move.

Too many players have a "what's in it for me" attitude and the league is just going to increase those numbers. If the players are not allowed to have fun and enjoy the "game" they play they might as well get all they can and get out. Of course, the people who suffer the most as usual are the fans.

Funny you mention that, last week in the Giant/Eagle game Shockey caught a pass for a 1st down and then he was flapping his arms as to mimic T.O. The following day, the sports radio show I listen to was making a big fuss about it as if it was really something major. He didn't go overboard with it, not this time anyway, being overly enthuseastic and ripping your helmet off after catching a pass is a bit much. But still, when players have a certain personality to them, it does make the game more interesting, providing they got some skills. I'm not a Philly fan, but I'll admit that T.O. can be hilarious. I also thought that cell-phone celebration that transpired at New Orleans last year was humorous too.

Shockey did that after the first down cause he probably knew it would be his only chance, full well knowing he would'nt scoe a TD.

    Here's the diff. between psyco NBA "playa" & NFL player;

Toss beer on NBA "playa" and be on the recieving end of haymakers.

Spill some beer on NFL player & feel the love.

( I know there's a difference beween toss and spill, but you get my point)

That link isn't working for me, Cajun...

I have been looking on ESPN and SI and can't find any announcement about banning the leaps.

Not doubting you, Eyesoar, but just want a legit link...
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

    Welcome to the NFC North.

Funny how if Shockey mimics somebody, it's a huge deal, but if TO mimics somebody they say it's funny and everybody likes him for it.

The saddest part is that people are mimicing TO at all. He has truely got under people skin. Ignore TO and come up with something new.

TO is an idiot but he is smart enough to have everyone eating out of his hands. Kind of like the useless thread starters!!!!!!!!!! Respond if you want, the best is just to ignore.

They don't know you read it, don't respond.
