Re: No doubt about it: Jaguars aim to run against Vikings
I thnk they will run alot and have good sucess. But thats still better then passing on us, cause we cant cover anything on the field.

Hard to believe he finished with 53 yards rushing which was like 2.5 a carry. You know our run d is GREAT when that seemed like a lot lolI bet people thought it would be stupid to run Warrick Dunn up the middle on usSkol Vikings! Go Cubs!

20 carries for 53 yards? Not all that effective really. Not necessarily "stupid" but definitely not effective.I bet people thought it would be stupid to run Warrick Dunn up the middle on us

In all 10 Vikings games this year Peterson has been the games leading rusher.

This is the second time in this thread that the Bucs have been called successful last week, but outside of Garcia scrambling they were not very successful at all.On every play I hope the other team runs, it gives me hope the vikings can get a stop. Last week was frustrating because they had success. I still hope the jags try to run because more often than not teams that do get stuffed.
Also, and this suprised me, the vikings D has forced the most fumbles in the nfl with 9. If the Jags run early and often and the Vikes stop it gives them a chance to win.
Tampa had 87 yards on 27 carries from their running backs ... a whole 3.2 yards a carry. They hurt us with their dink and dunk passing ... not the run.

They did pick up 10 first downs rushing(9 passing), scored a rushing td and Garcia had 21 rushing yards for a total of 108 rushing yards allowed, well above our 73.9 average for the season."jmcdon00" wrote:

It was there ability to consistanly run on 3rd and short successfully that made Tampas running game effective against us."jmcdon00" wrote:

Teams have been able to run on us a little bit this year.
Mainly our goal line run D has dissapointed me this year. :'(

Re: No doubt about it: Jaguars aim to run against Vikings
After going down by 14 in the first 3 minutes I think their options to try to run were limited a bit.
Then again when it seems like several times a year we face a QB who ends up throwing for career highs against us it isn't hard to see why they would pass against us.
