Wheres Arizona on the list? They've got to be some miserable SOBs down there.
That's different though because they don't even care about their team.
haha so true, i live in Arizona and everyone accepts that the Cardinals suck and don't really care.

I was at the NFC Championship game where Gary Anderson missed the only field goal of the year.....worst day of my life, will go down as the biggest mistake in Vikings history....makes me cringe to this day! Dirty birds? We shoulda annihilated em'....Anderson needs to hit that 37 yarder....37, unlucky #!

Forget about the four Super Bowl losses, Korey Stringer, the Herschel Walker trade, the missed field goal in the 1999 NFC championship game, missing the playoffs after starting the 2003 season 6-0, Mike Tice scalping the Super Bowl tickets, the Whizzinator, the Love Boat cruise, the move to the Metrodome, Jim Marshall's wrong-way run and all those Fran Tarkenton infomercials -- what STILL really ticks off Minnesota fans is the knowledge, the absolute knowledge, that the Vikings would have gone to the Super Bowl (and won it this time, dammit!) if that gol 'darnit referee had only gotten it right and called offensive pass interference on Drew Pearson during Roger Staubach's Hail Mary pass in the 1975 playoffs. @#&%! @#&%! @#&%!!!

Re: No. 5 on the fan misery index

Now that Boston won a world series, I think the misery contest is a tie between the Vikes, the Bills and the Cubs. I believe its worse to be in the thick of things and fail, rather than not to be in it at all.

The '75 hail Mary pass was a joke. Would instant replay been used had it been around? I don't think so.

I saw Drew "Push-Off" Pearson being interviewed on some bowl game last month. I wanted to see an admission of the crime and a full apology. The superior team lost that day.

I am gonna have to say every stinking year is a disappointment right now. but the most memorable would be 1998 NFC Championship

1998NFC Championship was the worst. Tore my uncles bathroom door down after that one. Hail Mary is a close second though.
