I had to look that up (Link), because I thought the St. Louis Cardinals were pretty good for a while. I think you're correct though, because the St. Louis Cardinals only had a few years in the mid-70's when they were decent and pretty much have sucked in their Chicago, St. Louis, Phoenix, and Arizona days. Man, they almost make the Saints look good.
While they won a few games in the 70s those Cardinals still sucked ... zero playoff wins ... while not even getting to host a playoff game ... since they moved to St. Louis in 1960 and then to Arizona in 1988 they have ONE playoff win (with Plummer in 1998) ... I was a Cardinals fan being born in St.Louis and those teams sucked a$s and still sold games out when Bill "I hope he dies a hoirrific death" Bidwell moved them to the desert. Way back in 1947 as the Chicago Cardinals they did win a NFL title, but they mostly sucked in that city as well ... they currently only hold all-time winning recordes over the Bucs, Saints and Falcons ... this franchise is the definition of sucks ... and has no fans to show for it, thus they cannot be miserable

The missed field goal in the 1999 NFC championship is fairly recent and was seen by most fans here, so that momement of misery sticks out.

But after researching the 1975 Hail Mary game against Dallas,

that was the worst day in Vikings history.

It's hard to believe we are that high on the list but as far as I am concerned we could be #1 because I live and die Viking football.

*sigh*. Reminds me of the game game in lambeau last season when Derek Ross recovered Robert Ferguson's fumble on the kickoff return but the refs declared it unreviewable.
I Love Kerry Collins (and John Rocker).

Ugh...that was crappy to relive those moments. I would say we're definately in the top 5 of misery.
