    LOL

It is always good to be optimistic.

But..... I was thinking that we might have 3 losses in Dec alone.

If we combine your record with my Dec prediction that means we are going 10-2 in the first 12 games.
    That is pretty good.

    Why?

They have as good a defense as us and as bad an offense.

Besides, you would have said the same thing if someone picked us at the beginning of the year to lose to the 49ers, whom pretty much everyone and their dog thought was a dreadful team.

    Re: NFL's worst teams

Mayock nailed the three most important factors to the win-loss record at the very beginning of the broadcast.
    1)
    QB play MUST improve, 2)
    Create pressure from front 4,
    3)
Special Teams coverage units must improve.
In that order, and, I certainly agree.
If those three (at a minimum) don't improve, 5-11, 6-10 are very real outcomes.
If they do, then 8-8 to 10-6 is more like the record.
From what I saw during Game 1 of the preseason (admittedly, game 1)...they are on the right track on improving QB play and front 4 pressure, however, special teams should remain a concern.

Looks to me like we can expect pretty significant contributions from at least 3 rookies; Robison (motor like John Randle), McCauley (an improvement over Smoot, already) and Peterson (that's a given).
    Rice didn't show too much.
Bobby Wade's quickness was as advertised.
    Greenway looked solid.
Longwell...I hate kickers (except for Fred Cox, of course).

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

I think that is going to help determine how many win and losses we have.
The other determinant is if the offense can score.
    Last year we couldn't score.

Well, I think what we have to ask ourselves, what changed from last year and is it going to make us better or worse?
Has the Pass D got improved? Will our O score more points?

Another way to look at this, is to go down the schedule and actually look at our competition.

Don't go calling the Vikes one of the worst teams just yet. If their QB and WR's pan out, they could move up the charts pretty fast....
