I dunno, I kind of like the underdog mentality.
The only reason we are ranked so low in such polls is because our players are unproven.
We could be a big surprise.

Why isn't Detriot on the list be we are?
They have been one of the worst for the better part of a decade, why all of a sudden are they not on the very bottom?

    Re: NFL's worst teams

Common denominator with the bottom teams on that list is ?? quarterbacks.

According to this article, it is a stretch to think that we can go 8-8.
So if we finish 5-11, that is about right for 29th on the list.

I honestly don't want to draft any higher than 6th in next years draft and I hope that we finish with a better record than the Pack, so in my calculations, we need to be no worse than the 23rd worst team.
Packers can be the 24th right behind us.

I didn't see who wrote this article, but the guy is definitly a moron. The Vikes are some where in the middle of the league, no way in the world are we at the bottom. If things pan out with Jackson and Williamson....I'd say top 12 this year.

    Yikes.

I say it's fair where they put us.
As far as that lame poll, that's dumb.
We got a lot to prove and to many unprovens and question marks.

    That seems right to me.

Even if we have some players on offense, as long as we have a coach who is happy to run left for 3 yards 40 times a game and never throw it in the end zone, we ain't gonna do anything.

I think 5-11 is what we can expect.

    Hope I'm wrong though.

    Re: NFL's worst teams

Mayock did the commentary during the game.
He kept saying, that the Vkings have a great defense.
I think that is going to help determine how many win and losses we have.
The other determinant is if the offense can score.
    Last year we couldn't score.

Well, I think what we have to ask ourselves, what changed from last year and is it going to make us better or worse?
Has the Pass D got improved? Will our O score more points?

Another way to look at this, is to go down the schedule and actually look at our competition.

    Sep 9 Atlanta 1:00pm
    Sep 16 @Detroit 4:05pm
    Sep 23 @Kansas City 1:00pm
    Sep 30 Green Bay 1:00pm
    Week 5 BYE
    Oct 14 @Chicago 1:00pm
    Oct 21 @Dallas 1:00pm
    Oct 28 Philadelphia 1:00pm
    Nov 4 San Diego 1:00pm
    Nov 11 @Green Bay 1:00pm
    Nov 18 Oakland 1:00pm
    Nov 25 @N.Y. Giants 1:00pm
    Dec 2 Detroit 1:00pm
    Dec 9 @San Francisco 4:05pm
    Dec 17 Chicago 8:30pm
    Dec 23 Washington 1:00pm
    Dec 30 @Denver 4:15pm

Can we defend our home turf?
How well will we do in the division (NFCN)?
