BTW, don't actually hate the Puker fans in the dome. Makes the game that much more exciting and the victory that much more enjoyable. I've come to expect a certain amount of Packer fans in the Dome when they play. However, I was rather surprised by how, in 2009, when Favre was at the helm of the Vikings, how the ratio of Viking fans to Packer fans was suddenly 80-20 when, in past games, it's usually more like 60-40.

Lots of GB fans were/are Favre fans, rather than actual fans of the team.

Does anyone factor in (when speaking of economic development) that at present a recruiter/ pres / ceo can say... "and of course we have the Vikings as a draw/whatever" ...

...when speaking to clients, CORPORATIONS and their EXECUTIVES for RECRUITING purposes, etc. etc. etc.

So many continue to speak of the flaws in the potential gains in the economic models... I would instead pause and reflect upon the potential loss of the Vikes to Minneapolis and Minnesota...

You are on the (conciousness) map because of them. Bag the Vikes, you are South friggin' Dakota from now on, with the exception of being famous for allowing the Vikings to leave... that is basically all you would be known for.

D.C. wouldn't be held hostage by the Senators. The BEST OVERALL DEMOGRAPHIC IN THE NATION (exponents in financials compared to Minn.) couldn't get a team back for decades.

Good point. DC was pretty much irrelevant between the period of time between the Senators and the Nationals.

Come to think of it LA has pretty much been a ghost town since the Raiders and Rams left.

And the Vikings are not leaving. They will get a stadium ( If they just focus on one spot and quit jumping around the metro every few years) and after it isn't making money the state will bail them out again. Hopefully we can get more than 15 years out of this one before they start begging for another one.

If you don't build them a stadium soon, they will leave. You are not going to look good in green and yellow.
