I watched Super Bowl IX against the Steelers earlier today. I felt like I shouldn't, but I just couldn't change the channel.

But it was played in Jan. '99.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

I know it's stupid and silly, but sometimes I watch those old highlight reels I can't help but feel "Hrm, I wonder if this time the Vikings will pull it out and finally be Super Bowl Champions"

    Never happens though

Yea, that'98 NFC Championship killed me. It's easy to blame Anderson, but if f***in' Moss woulda caught that pass in the end zone, we woulda been up by 3 scores. F***in wimpy sh**head. I've hated Randy Floss since then. He cost us with lack of effort. Chicken S**t.

Less we forget, Robert Smith running out of bounds( on more than one occassin) in the drive that ended with the Anderson miss(which would of killed the clock), Robert Griffith dropping a easy INT in the endzone moments before the Falcons tied the game, Cunningham under-throwing Moss in OT when he had a few steps on the Falcons' Robinson deep in Atlanta territory (that could of given Anderson a chance to win the game with a FG ,there's NO way he misses twice) or Todd Steussie letting the Falcons force a Cunningham fumble,by letting his man go right around him, late in the 1st half that allowed Atlanta to cut the lead to 20-14,instead of going into the locker room up 20-7. Too many blown chances in that '98 NFC Championship game to blame any one player, but damm, the vikings "could of" had a good chance against the "Donkeys"!!

    Yes, exactly. I love you...hahaha...
I think we would have beat the Donkeys. That NFC championship game was something that wasn't meant to happen no matter what, but I still think Moss could've been the difference.
