    NFL.Com power rankings

Did anyone see the power rankings on NFL.com? I guess it doesn't mean much when they are putting them out in May no way to say what teams are going to do yet. They have the Vikings at #17 the Packers at #14??? and of course the Patriots are at number 1. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

    These are garbage.

Eagles at 4? What a bunch of bull! Here's what they have to say about them:
The additions of Terrell Owens and Jevon Kearse make this a much-improved team and might allow it to finally get past the title-game curse.

I didn't know losing a starting OLB, starting RB, and losing your 2 starting corners was an improvment.

Seahawks at 5? Come on! What have they done to improve? NOthing! We whomped them last year, and we have vastly improved.

Chiefs at 6? Horrible D. That's all I'm gonna say.

Ravens at 7? You aren't going deep in the playoffs when Todd Heap and Kyle Boller are your offensive stars. I leave out Lewis because of his problems w/ the law. And, the Ravens have the worst passing game known to man now. Case closed.

Saints at 10? Where did that come from?

Cowboys at 11? This is the worst.......the media thinks Parcells is a god and they all bow down to him.........Dallas has a mediocre passing game at best and NO running game. Very overrated.

They have us at 17? They say we need to make major defensive strides, which we did. We are a hell of alot better than 17, and we're better than the Pack.

These ratings are a pile of crap as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I am surprised by such a low ranking, but who cares we'll just have to be the underdog and kick the sh!t out of the teams that are ahead of us!! We'll be alright!!

ESPN had the vikings ranked a little higher. I check the calender to see if it was April 1st. The Saints at 10? You might as well put the Bengals, Jaguars, or Texans at 10.

These are based on last season guys. Everyone who made the playoffs automatically get in top 15 it seems, even if they lost half their roster. It is pretty much the reverse draft order. They don't really take into consideration offseason moves, or at least good ones.

As for the Seahawks, they got Wistrom and Bobby Taylor which are pretty good players in my opinion.

As long as the Cheifs have an Offense like they do they deserve to be up there. If you didn't notice our D was just as bad as theirs last season only we crashed in the middle of the season and they did at thend/playoffs.

Eagles definitely don't deserve to be there at #4, the fact that they lost some team player for two overpriced crybaby superstars does not bode well for them.

Ravens are a good team, their D is as solid as ever. I think boller blows, but you can't just "leave out" a 2000 yard rusher. They still need a WR bad. Who did they draft again?

Dallas will not make the playoffs this year, they have one of the worst offenses in the league. The Saints keep getting worse and wrose each year so I am not sure what that is about. They have 2 good ends, a good running back and that is about it.

Face it we will hear the same old comment about our team until will prove otherwise. Good O, but their D is still a question mark. We just have to go out and prove otherwise, cuz unless our D can be at least average, we won't go anywhere.

agreed stal. every year it seems they say our defense needs to step up and produce. and the next year they say the same thing. green decimated this defense with his beligerance against it in the draftit's going to take a lot to get it back to respectable. also, having a d-coordinator for more than a year would help

The only way we might be #17 if Randy Moss and Daunte get injured for the whole season.

Also the saints were not in the playoffs last year but they are in the top 10 rankings so i dont think your theory is correct.
