Thread: NFC picture

I know it's early but right now I have to say I like the Vikings chances this year. Especially if we get a defensive end and wide receiver. No one in our division really scares me that much. Detroit is still several players away. Green Bay overchieved, especially on defense. Plus how much longer can Favre stay healthy. I have a feeling the streak will end this year. It's come close the last few years. Chicago may be the surprise of the division. Grossman isn't a great QB but he won't make a lot of mistakes. With their good defense that might be enough to get them a good number of wins.

Now if you look outside the division no one in the NFC really jumps out at you. I don't think Carolina or St Louis will what they were last year. Philly will also decline. Dallas still doesn't have enough offense to go anywhere. Washington could be up there if the players respond to the Gibbs system and Snyder keeps his nose out of things. Seattle and Atlanta will be division champs. Atlanta could really be dangerous if their defense plays well.

But the way look at, I don't see any dominant team in the NFC. The Vikings look as good as anyone else out there. If our defense can play at an above average level, look out.
