    NFC North Predictions

This 2004 season is rapidly approaching and here is how it will likely shake down.
In a division which is full of third tier teams (my definition of the bottom third of the NFL) only one will make the playoffs this year.

Please note todays date: 7/1/04 I want the angry mobs to refer to this post often as the season progresses.

The Green Bay Packers 10-6 NFC North Champions.
rational: The Packers have all of their offensive weapons back. #4 will be as good as ever! Grades-RB: A QB: A WR: B+ TE: B OL: A
The Defense although not intimidating should improve it's aggressiveness with Slowik at Coordinator. The Defense will be a disappointment at times but, should be good enough to keep the opponents score less than the offense can produce. Grades-DB: C+ LB: C+ DL: C+
The Special Teams have improved with a quality rookie punter. Solid Kicker and above average return specialists. Cumulitive Grade: B

    Overall Grade: Solid B

The Minnesota Vikings 8-8 Second Place.
rational: The Vikings have failed to do enough to improve last year's team. Grades-RB B QB: A WR: A TE: D OL: A
The Defense has done little and may be worse off! Grades-DB: D LB: D DL: C
The Special Teams are a solid C

    Overall Grade: Solid C

The Detroit Lions 6-10 Third Place
Very little running game make the pass easier to shut down for defenses. Wide receivers are better but, a year or two away. Offensive line is no better than average. The Defense is Improved and should keep the Lions in the games with their top divisional rivals.

    Mooch makes this team better.

    Overall Grade: Solid D

The Chicago Bears 4-12 Last Place
The offense is below average and the Defense is average. Lovie will need this position to draft the best defensive players in 2005. As time goes by the Monsters of the Midway may return to glory quickly with strong defense in a weak division. Not this year.

    NFC North Predictions

heres how i see it, the packers are the only team in the NFC north that is on the decline. Other than QB and RB I cant think of a position on the packers that is better than the vikings.

what astounds me is that you give the WR a B+ they are average at best... I'd give them MAYBE a C+.

Our defense has done little and may be worse off? Dude, have you even been paying attention during the offseason?

I don't think he has been paying attention TNT. The only team in the division that hasn't done anything to make themselves better, is his sorry packers!! I know that it is hard to learn in the south because morons can't teach morons, but learn how to read, or even watch tv to find out what the vikings and other teams have done to improve, then come back with something logical to say tex!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Walker, Fergueson, and Driver as a unit are comparible to Moss and the X factor the vikes start each year. Although, if you noticed I gave the unit an A anyway eventhough the WR corps really doesn't deserve it.

Secondly, VKG4LFE why must you put down those you disagree with? Are you so logical? At least in the south people have manners.

I'm sure the pissed off look the good people of Wisconsin glare toward you has to do with your tailpipes dragging the ground in the rusted out 1980 Dodge Aspen you drive.

    NFC North Predictions

I think the Vikings will win the division. I also predict Bennett will have more yards than Green this year.

Detroit is going to finish second. This is a long shot but my logical second is the Packers and since I hate them I will put them in last for the division.

Chicago will end up third in the division

Packers will hopefully end up in last. :argue:
Four score and seven years ago, Brad Childress has brought upon this team, a west coast offense, conceived in San Francisco, and Dedicated to be a Kick jiggly butt offence. We are now engaged in an NFL season, testing weather that offense can get going or that our defense can long endure.

As a unit they maybe compare to Moss himself. Obviously though there are biased opinions on both sides here. However, Green Bay is going to be going through a rebuilding phase, and are not going to be the team that they have been in the past for a few years to come. Besides the fact that Favre is gettin old, you don't have much young blood on your team at all... oh excuse me I forgot about the punter you traded up for, but other then that you didn't do much at all on draft day and next to nothing in free agency. There is no way you are going to equal last year.

Hey, I'm not crazy about the punter move either. however punting/field position is important especially when a team has a suspect/vulnerable defense. I think its probably approached that way by the coaching staff. Green Bay made several attempts to improve its defense in the past. Drafting 10th DE Reynolds and signing FA DE Joe Johnson. Neither one worked out.

I don't believe the Packers needed to improve their Offense. The Defense may surprise some people especially if Jason Gilden or some other F.A. lands in Titletown.

10-6 isn't exactly shooting for the stars. Unless you are Detroit or Chicago.

I think the Vikings will lose to Green Bay, Dallas, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Tenessee, Detroit, Seattle, and Washington or Houston. 8-8 would be an accomplishment if you look at the vikes schedule, defensive personnel, and coaching staff.

I think that a D grade for Minn TE position is harsh. Wiggins and Jimmy K are very good although Jimmy doesn't catch many passes however, he is a tremendous run blocker. I think that the vikings group to TE's are just as good as GB.
Signature not changing until the Vikings win the Super Bowl. Started- 7/8/2005
