Re: NFC North breaks down, espn video
I can't wait to stop talking about what might happen and start talking about what did happen.

I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

"As long as there has been an NFC North, only two teams have won it.
The Chicago Bears, and the Green Bay Packers"
Wow.
I didn't realize that.
Here is a list of all of Minnesota's Championships:
* NFL Championships (1)
1969
Conference Championships (4)
* NFL Western: 1969
* NFC: 1973, 1974, 1976
Division Championships (16)
* NFL Central: 1968, 1969
* NFC Central: 1970, 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1998, 2000
The 1969 NFL Championship was back when the AFL and NFL had their own championship series, and then the two champions met in the super bowl.Zeus wrote:

Re: NFC North breaks down, espn video
Such a true statement at the end of that clip.... Since there has been an NFC North, only two teams have ever won it....The Bears and the Pack.
It is time to leave the Lions as the ONLY team in the NFC North to not win it!I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

Could be interpreted either way, and both would (sadly) be correct."NodakPaul" wrote:

I think "IT" means the NFC North, it was previously the NFC Central, but they realigned the division in 2001(?) so it became the NFC North, the vikings havn't won since that realignment took place."NodakPaul" wrote:

Re: NFC North breaks down, espn video
Bears: I don't agree with the QB position being the biggest problem. RB is a major concern. Orton has proven he can win and Grossman went to the Super Bowl. Say what you want be these guys might not be a long term answer but they can get the job done.
Lions: I like their team but man can they ever get it done. I think Millen stills needs to go before something ever happens.
Packers: Learning on the side and learning on the field are not comparable. There will be a learning curve. This is not the Packers year.
Vikings: Health is always a concern for any team. I liked the comment about TJ needing to run the ball if he is in a pickle. I remember a play when he could of easily picked up 10 yards but instead panicked and threw the ball up for a INT. He has good legs and needs to use them when he is in trouble. I like how he is not a run first QB like Vick was but he needs to use legs.
