Re: Next Viking to be released...

First, I don't think they will get rid of any QB's as they try to get down to 80.
No sense wearing arms out this early.
And when they do get rid of a QB it will be Brooks and Wright.
Brooks outright and Wright will go to the practice squad.
That will leave TJ, Gussie Boy and JDB as our 3 53 man QB's.

(Key note: I then read the link that says Wright was released......
    :'()

    Second.
    I believe mountainviking is correct.
None of our rookies are signed yet and they don't count against the 80.
When they start to sign them then more players have to go.....

My guess is they will get rid of the following as they numbers dictate:

    a.
    Young, RB
    b.
    Adbullah, FS
    c.
    Martial, DE
    d.
    Douzable, DT
    e.
    Grisby.
DE (Kindof a suprise that I think they will let him go for me as well.
I liked how he came right in and contributed last year.)
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

After further review, I think the roster stands at 81 right now.
On dailynorseman's site, I count 79 still on the roster (excluding those released over the past couple days), but that roster doesn't reflect WR Daniel Davis or OL Mike Jones, which would be 81.
    That 81 includes unsigned draftees.
So, maybe one more to be released?
I'll stick with initial pick, Dee McCann.
Who the heck is he, anyway?

Regarding Marrdro's picks, I can see Douzable, as I noted in my first list, going.

I think Martail Burnett and Abdullah have enough upside to keep around for training camp, and I think Young will make training camp if only for the reason that he's the only rb on the roster behind AP, CT, and Hicks (unless you count Tahi as a hyrbrid FB/RB).
So, if there actually is still 81 on the roster, and one has to go, I'll revise only a bit:

    My Pick:
    Dee McCann

    Other Possibilites:
Same as my original post, but take Bollinger off the list and put DT Kendrick Allen on it.

    Speculation is always fun.

It's all that keeps this site alive in the offseason....

    WOW!
Wright has really fallen from grace since his high school days!
Even so, he must suck awfully bad to be cut before BB was!

Too bad, I had hopes that Wright would rejuvenate his once climbing star as one of the nations top prep QBs in the land!

Oh well, 'KEEP ON TRUCKING KYLE!'

The Vikings waived quarterback Kyle Wright, two months after signing him as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Miami.....

Re: Next Viking to be released...

Wright could still end up on the PS in a few monthes.
I just don't think that there's enough reps for 5 QBs in practice.
Lord knows, TJack needs his reps!
Frerotte is new and needs all he can get and the same goes for Booty.
I see Bollinger as the "assisstant to the QB coach/offensive language consultant" kind of guy.

I mean really, with Culpepper, Quinn Gray, and Leftwhich still out there, whats the chances Bollinger lands on another team if he gets cut here?
I can totally see him kept around as an assisstant, or coaching intern type of situation...unless of course, Booty stinks real bad (like after I ate that chorizo bfast burrito), and they feel like its worth the gamble to try and slide him to PS in order to have a better option at QB3.
I mean, if he stinks up the preseason, it increases his chances of sliding onto the PS, right?
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Yea, the only scenario that gives Bollinger a chance.
None of us want to see that happen though.
The chorizo breakfast burritos sure are good though, worth the stink.
