The latest trend, especially with Nike, is every team gets it's own font/typeface for their jerseys/numbers. From Oregon, to Rutgers, to the Golden Gophers, and to the Vikings.

Nike designed the uniforms. Of course they worked closely with the Vikings, but I can almost guarantee you that they came up with the idea, pitched it to the NFL/Vikings, and got the ok. Nike knows what's 'in' and trending right now with all the latest designs and features.

Well the Vikings got two sets of fonts. 88 has different fonts for each 8 for example. The fonts for 17 are different than those for 71. It doesn't look good IMO.

Yes. Also, as far as I've seen, if the number is a single digit like Ponder's #7, there are no horns & it is normal.

Correct. A single digit is treated as a right digit.

Or to be more precise, the ones digit is always normal, and the tens digit is always serif.

This is a circular argument. Nike knows what "in" because Nike says it is "in" with its own designs.

The matte helmets look like cheap Chinese knockoff toys.

The replica jersey's are stupid as hell... why are the stripes at the bottom on the sleeves instead of at the top like the actual jersey's... makes them look cheap and like replica's... Nike is doing that for all teams that have stripes... I hate it!

The different font numbers looks real amateur!... Get it together Nike.... do both or none at all!
