Peterson and Greenway are at Nike headquarters today taking a look at the new uni's. This is what AD had to say about them.

In a quote released by the Vikings on Twitter, Peterson said today, “From the helmet to the jersey to the pants, the guys are going to love it.” That’s the endorsement from the league MVP.
Now this is a player saying it and I won't make a final decision on liking them or hating them until I see them, but this at least sounds good coming from the leader of this team.

    Three new clues this week:

Waist of the pants. White pants with the home uniforms. Great news.

This one is hard to figure out. I think it might be side striping of the pants, judging by the visible white material in the top left(and very little sliver in the bottom right?). Looks like pants. The striping is kind of thick to be vertical shoulder striping. It's hard to tell.

Again, tough to tell, but these might be gloves.

And a video of the Vikings equipment manager talking about the new uniforms:

Sounds like we're going old-school for sure.

I think this is shoulder striping, which would mean a return to over the shoulder striping (awesome!).

The material looks more like jersey material than pants.
The small white part in the lower right could be the start of a number.

    Just my thoughts.

The other thing I noticed is that the side stripe on the right (player's left) is purple, not white. Are we losing the white side stripe? This was clearly the biggest change to the uniforms in 2005, and probably the one that was met with the most resistance. (Although I admit that I liked it)

To explain a bit more, based on this I think we are going to over the shoulder striping like we used to have on the away uniforms.

The Rams, and I think a few other teams have vented pant stripes which use what looks like mesh jersey material.

As far as I know this type of material has ever been used on uniform shoulders, and is definitely not used on the current Nike shoulders. Unless they're just using it for texture styling on the stripe. If they do use vertical stripes, it will likely be on away uniforms, and so far they've only given clues on how the home uniform will look.

    On top of this:

Would just look weird, I think.

OK, that makes sense then. I stand corrected.
