Re: New Vikings Offensive Coordinator!?
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. Maybe I look at it this way because Singletary is more well known. I thought about the idea that Pagac has already worked in the system but to me, Singletary would probably be more on the same page with Frazier than Pagac. They played together in a system that was one of the best ever in the history of the league.
When all is said and done they know more than I do so I have to trust their decision. To me, logically speaking from what I do know I would think Singletary would be a better fit as the DC.

Re: New Vikings Offensive Coordinator!?
I have not seen much from Pagac. Perhaps he had to work in Frazier's scheme, but I do not see that changing much with Frazier in charge. One must question if Pagac will be just a yes-man to Frazier like Bevell was to Childress.

The Vikings may be better off with a pressure defense. Frazier and Singletary certainly know enough about the 46 and Tampa 2 to figure out something that will work.

You don't have to pass for 300+ yards to be considered a passing team.

When the Steelers won that last SB, Bib Ben passed for 256 yards (30 attempts). Their total rushing offense in that game: 58 yards (25 attempts).

Both teams were passing more than throwing.

Giants got to the superbowl though by playing great defense and having 3 rushers almost hit 1000 yards. They were without a doubt a run-first team, but could pass when they wanted.

Re: New Vikings Offensive Coordinator!?
According to PFT, McDaniels to the Rams may be falling through. Also says that we are interviewing Musgrave.

Josh McDaniels may not head to St. Louis after all

Kansas City Chiefs v Denver Broncos
Early this morning, former Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels appeared to be ready to become the offensive coordinator of the Rams.
But it doesn’t look like that’s the case anymore.
Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that talks between the Rams and McDaniels are breaking down, and as a result the Rams are seeking permission to talk to other assistants to fill the role. Those assistants include the Falcons’ Bill Musgrave and the Vikings’ Darrell Bevell, but the Jaguars have denied the Rams’ request to speak with Jacksonville offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter.
Musgrave, meanwhile, is also interviewing with the Browns and Vikings over next the next two days for their offensive coordinator jobs, and Bevell could still end up remaining in Minnesota.

Re: New Vikings Offensive Coordinator!?
Musgrave would also be a good addition. I believe that the McDaniels thing has flown the coop. Seattle will pay like a bunch of Drunken Sailors, and we cannot. I am not sure why Musgrave would look to take an OC job with us though, Falcons are younger and have some established stars. The situation with the Vikes not as well defined.

Filed by myself and @AdamSchefter to ESPN: McDaniels to Rams as offensive coordinator is now a done deal.
