New Viking In-Season guidlines...

Must be we had a curfew the night before the Detroit game cuz our players actually paid attention to detail better than any game so far this year. Yes, we had a slight letdown in the 2nd half but we bounced back.

New Viking in-season Rules (go ahead add some more fella's)
1. No Boating, fishing (includes flyfishing) or even paddleboating on a pond.
2. Don't create trash that others want to pickup.
3. Stay in on weekends (& even weeknights) and study your play book.
4. Release your sexual frustration with your wife or g/f.
5. Keep the booze and DWI's non-existant.
6. Getting high only happens when you win the game (high 5's that is)
7. No hotdogging, dancing etc. when you make a play your supposed to.
8. Show up to meetings (on time) and actually stay awake (& attentive).
9. Forget about Moss and how our offense use to run.
10. Give respect to those supporting your high salery by entertaining us and not yourselves, too much self (greed) gratification need not apply!

1. Be on time
2. Give 100% in everything you do
3. Don't break the law
4. Keep team problems in house, and work through them together.

Everything else is pretty much none of the Vikings buisiness.

Bud Grant had a few rules:

-eliminating dumb mental mistakes in practice and the games
-no smoking
-no booze
-respect the American flag
-make the team practice outdoors and play games in the cold weather without the benefit of heaters on the sideline

I agree 100%. Smoot needs to keep his mouth shut and play. Same reason I didn't like Kelly Campbell (among other things). I'm not a big fan of loudmouth players.

He kinda was the reason i put in the #7 rule in bold. Energy used doing this is wasted energy that he maybe could use moving his feet?

Trash talking can have a positive effect on a team if it works out for you. There's a lot of stuff that is said on the field that you just don't get to hear about. :grin:

Is Smoot going to the media saying he is going to do such and such or is he just talking on the field?
