Yep! That would be mine too.
    Hands Down . . . YES!

Did nothing for us and gave our Super Bowl to Dallas with all those friggin' draft picks!
AMEN!! You can repeat that!
Sorry, but Herschel wasn't the bust. The trade was. He had nothing to do with the trade. So how the F!!ck can you place blame on him for that?

Plus he ran great the first game. Then they changed his running style which totally affected what he could have done.
I agree with you Singer. Besides he had over 800 yards rushing that year. That's not too shabby. That was totally the organizations fault. you can't blame Hershell. The Vikings brought him in and tried to teach him a new style of running. Then they only gave him 1 year to learn and expected him to win the superbowl hands down. We would have had a good chance that year if not for the trade. We traded 1/2 of our #1 defense for him. That was stupid to begin with. Then all the draft picks. Another stupid move. All in all, it wasn't Hershell's fault.

I guess some of you don't remembering Walker running to the line of scrimage, stopping, turning his back and then running into a pile of players. Or when he was more concerned about trying out for the Olympic bob sled team than playing football, or him listening to his car radio in his garage with the car running and the door closed.

I do not think the coaching staff can be blamed for everything that happened with Hershel!

Dallas knew he was done and they duped us! Hershel did not want to play anymore and serious psychological issues.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Dimitrius did too, but it was just for a day or two.

The one that pissed me off the most never became a Viking. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was Boomer Esiason or another QB of that era.

I just remember him telling the Vikings that if they drafted him, he wouldn't play for them.

that missed FG by Anderson is definitely haunting, but people forget the Vikes still had the lead. The TEAM blew it, not Andserson. I was much more upset at the team than him.

It's funny how Gary could have a great career with the Vikes & go perfect on FG's that year, but because he missed the last one, some say he's their least favorite Viking.

How about the players that blew the lead or missed other opportunities.

IMO, it should have never come down to a last minute FG in the 1st place.
