(WCCO) The Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams has a new look. He's trimmed down and says he's ready for a banner season...
Re: New Season, New Look For Vikings' Pat Williams
I'm thinking pro-bowl for Pat, a new contract, and a top 10 defense. We will continue to stop the run, and show vast improvement in our pass defense.

Great stuff.
In early and in weight standards.
I love it that he, along with K-will are so good against the run, however, lets they can collapse the pocket a bit more as well as stop the run.
That would flush the QB to our ends resulting in a few more sacks maybe.

So, since Phat Pat is coming in ready to roll.....does that drop the market value for his taint sweat?
Re: New Season, New Look For Vikings' Pat Williams
phat pat ready to roll!!! i was worried last year when they pulled him aside.. figured it was the begining of a bad relationship with pat and bchill.. but now i'm soooo glad that it actually worked out well.
P/K Will combo is back.. and RB's should learn to ride the pine early.

Not So Phat Pat just doesn't sound right.

In the most important category, scoring defense, the Vikings already have a top-10 defense.
And I have huge man-love for P.Williams - he's my "New Uni" home jersey.
But he trundles off the field on every obvious passing down and THAT'S what the Vikings need more than a run-stuffer.
When he leaves, the other team can double-down on Kevin Williams and that pretty much neutralizes the pass-rush.
If Big Pat can stay on the field for more passing downs and get some pressure on the QB, then the d-line could be scary (once Ray Edwards is appointed the speed rusher off the edge!)

Yeah. but Pro Bowl Pat sounds better.
Re: New Season, New Look For Vikings' Pat Williams
pat williams is the man! what he said in the interview was funny. i think this will be a good year for pat. i think he could even get a few more sacks and not just be a run stopper. that might propel him to the pro bowl.
