Looks like I'll have to take a trip to the local book store, maybe Amazon has it also
    I'm thinking.

Sounds like a nice book to read, and help me deal with this cabin fever I have lately.

    Amazon has them.

I just picked up my copy of "A Tradition Of Purple" when I was there for the Giants game and Stu Voigt was at the MOA signing copies of it and it's pretty good as well.
Hope so, gotr a copy for Christmas but haven't had a chance to get to read it yet :-(

still will help me through the offseason

A very nice read if anyone likes books of that nature.

I have that one as well - haven't finished reading it, but so far it's a GREAT read, kind of an unknown side of Vikings history.

Re: New history of Vikings has reached bookstores

I got "The Tradition Of Purple" as soon as it came out -- about a year ago. Read it through right away and then two days ago I picked it up again and started rereading it. Good book although I think he makes a lot of personal comments in it that aren't necessarily true. Maybe they were for him, but not in a general sense they weren't. He talks about the Dutchman in a sense that almost makes him sound "god-like" which he wasn't. In my estimation and the estimation of most of the Viking players he was a first class jerk!
