Give him one more year before we start ripping him.

The reason why I say this is because he is changing a lot of things that others wouldn't with the organization.

We also didn't get blown out by anybody except the Pats.
He kept almost all of the games close.

    One more year....

Therein lies the problem, your belief in a loop.
The loop theory was proven wrong long ago.

Re: The New Era--Welcome Coach Childress.

    Wow!
so much optimism a year ago...?

Although I too got sick of the boring play calling, I keep reminding myself how happy I was with it when we were 4-2 (or for the first 6 games).
    Old School, Ball Control Offense!!!!

We've all seen how the "Throw it Deep to Moss Offense" works your Defense...Incomplete or TD, whatever-NO TIME OFF THE CLOCK!!
Our Defense was playing the entire game, every game!!!
They would play OK in the first Quarter, get beat up in the second, come out with a second wind in the 3rd and get CREAMED in the 4th...I credit the running game for some of the defensive improvement!

Of our 10 losses, only 4 were by more than 6 points...AND, in nearly everygame this year, someone dropped a big catch!!!
(many would have been TDs, and many more were big first downs that would have at least given us a shot at a TD!!)
Doing the math, that gives us potential for a 12-4 season...???

So, Yeah, a disappointing first season for the Chiller, but he still deserves a chance!

Maybe what we really need is a new WR coach, OR at least, some new pass catching drills!!!
AND, some new wideout routes...seemed like we either threw it short (under 5 yds) or bombed it deep (over 20 yds)...I'm saying we need some innovative mid-range routes!
Slants and crosses in the 10 to 15 yd range...?

    SKOL VIKINGS!!!
    Here's to next year!!
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

We need an actual offensive coordinator with some garunteed job security. I hate when they hire yes men.

I didn't post in this thread last year so no crow eating from this thread, but plenty of others tho.
