I'm confident with the entire secondary.

I think that Tank will be a good player. I am not nervous about him being back there at all. I am not nervous about our defense as a whole actually. I am more worried about the offense.

I am confident with our entire secondary, and at least one injury in the safety position or CB position and we'll still be doing OKAY at least.

Re: In need of a Strong Safety

I can't get behind this at all. Corey is a GREAT SS and Tank is not. Just look at the numbers:
    Tank:
Year Team G Total Tckl Ast Sacks Int Yds Avg Lg TD Pass Def
    2002 Tennessee Titans 16 61 46.0 15 2 1 0 0.0 0 0 5
    2003 Tennessee Titans 16 74 51.0 23 0.5 2 0 0.0 0 0 4
    2004 Tennessee Titans 9 52 41.0 11 1 1 13 13.0 13 0 1
    2005 Tennessee Titans 16 78 58.0 20 0 1 1 1.0 1 0 4

    Corey:
    2002 Minnesota Vikings 16 83 66.0 17 1 3 76 25.3 43 1 2
    2003 Minnesota Vikings 16 86 75.0 11 0 8 143 17.9 39 1 6
    2004 Minnesota Vikings 16 80 59.0 21 0 1 0 0.0 0 0 5
    2005 Minnesota Vikings 16 71 54.0 17 0 2 0 0.0 0 0 3

Corey has 58 more tackles, but Tank has more INT's.... Maybe teams are more willing to throw towards Tank. That seems to be a standard throughout the NFL. The best secondary players have no stats because no one will throw in their direction!!
WELL, I LL ASK HIM, BUT I DON T THINK HE WILL BE VERY KEEN. UH, HE S ALREADY GOT ONE, YOU SEE.

Or maybe Tank is simply better at catching interceptions than Corey. Which would also explain the fact that Corey has more tackles. I am not saying that Corey was not a good safety. But so is Tank, and we should give him a chance before relying too hard on subjective interpretations of stat sheets.

Re: In need of a Strong Safety

What an odd poll; where's the "everything will be fine" option? I look at the departure of Chavous and the acquisition of Tank/Blue and a healthy Offord as a significant upgrade to the secondary.

Our secondary will be one of the strengths of the team this year, IMO.

don't worry...about a thing...'cause every little thing, gonna be allright...
    I am a dipshit!!!
