Ben Leber admits he has a fear of heights, but the Vikings linebacker couldn't pass up a chance to rappel a 40-foot wall with the Minnesota National Guard at Camp Ripley on Tuesday.
That activity was part of a team trip that began when a National Guard helicopter landed on the Winter Park practice fields.
"It was an unbelievable experience," linebacker Heath Farwell said. "I think [the soldiers] got a lot out of it, but we got more out of it. It was awesome to take off in a helicopter and soar all over Minnesota."
Of course, the best part is the last bit, unrelated to the title of the overall article....can't wait to see what 'ol Marrdro has to say:
Harvin traveled to the Twin Cities for an autograph show in April and looked noticeably bigger. He said he added about 10 pounds of muscle. Childress saw Harvin when he visited Florida before the draft for a private workout with Gators players.
