    Nat Dorsey earns starting spot

Nat Dorsey's performance against Chicago has earned him a starting spot in place of Mike Rosenthal for now. Apparently Rosenthal is very pissed off about his injury and insists he will play again this season, but of course the coaches have said he is done for the season. So Dorsey right now has won the spot over Haayer who has struggled with penalties. Dorsey did allow Ogunleye to beat him for a sack which he says kind of sparked him and the job he did the rest of the game really impressed the coaches.

Makes our 2004 draft look even smarter than it already looked...the draft commentators that only gave the Vikes an A- or B+ now need to eat some crow and upgrade the draft grade to an A+. Three current starters and an awesome third down back out of the first five picks (even if some of the starters are starting because of injury to the regulars), I would say that it is worthy of a higher grade.

I hope he pans out well...he has great size. If he picks up the intensity, he has potential to be a beast opposite of Mt. McKinney

He was predicted to be a starter by next season so I have no complaints right now as Haayer was not getting it done.

I guess will see. He is raw and he is only 20. I heard he didn't have a very good camp too. If he does pan out...that was a steal in the fourth round.

Yeah, I was one of the people who didn't agree with giving rosenthol an extension that quickly. I wanted us to wait until at during the season, to see how he was doing, before giving him a contract extension. Now if dorsey plays as well, then what do we do? Dorsey is young, and much more talented than rosenthol. He was a 4th round pick, because of concerns about his work ethic, but all of our coaches says he has very good work ethics.

When we drafted him, I expected him to be our starter next season, then we give rosenthol a huge contract extension, before he even plays a down this year???
