Thread: Name the D-Line

I looked around but didn't see this linked anywhere.

Fox Sports is asking fans for a nickname for the Vikings D-line.

I love "The Four Norsemen" myself, but there are lots of other great ideas:

Three Men and a Mullet gets my vote for funniest, too.

I put in Purple Powered Pressure but liked the "Shock and AWWE (Allen, Williams, Williams, Edwards) one better.

I would prefer a name that wasn't based on current personnel names so it could last a few years.
If Edwards is gone next year and we bring in Kampan, does it become Shock and AWWK?
If Kennedy replaces Pat Williams does it become Shock and AKWE?

Not sure which name I would go with yet, a lot of good ideas, but nothing up to the purple people eater standards.

If that's the rule, then I think it will be a short lived name.
I guess if we win the SB this year, then it can live on forever.
In past times, the PPE's and Steel Curtain were a decade long moniker.
No way we get that with our current personnel.

If the d-line stays dominant, I don't know why it couldn't be used with different personnel.
