I will be the first to admit, that when the Vikings gave up what they did to pick Tarvaris as early as they did, I was like what in the hell are they doing?.. I will also admit, that the more I read on this guy, the more I like him.. He is just about as dedicated as anyone right now, and I can't wait to see if he becomes a bonified starter in the NFL, or just another statistic..

Can you guys even imagine Daunte hitting the weight room, working out like that article suggests Jackson does? Not in a million years.

I told all of you, from the beginning he was good..... Now everyone jumps on the band wagon just cuz some sports writer (the breed of man which we all usually hate) says something about him. Tisk tisk. Shouldn't have taken an article to convince you, but rather your heart.

Just listen to your heart, fellas. your heart.

Physical gifts are one thing, but playing the game is something else. When Chidlress drafted him they all talked about what a great athlete he was and what a cannon for an arm he had, but they all said he needed to mature and learn to be a quarterback. That article doesn't say much about that. I'd much rather hear that he spends 10 hours a day with a coach breaking down film.

With that said, it's nice to see the guy has a good work ethic. I'm glad he has a strong desire to get better. That's half the battle! I can't wait to see him play in the preseason.
I put faith in Childress and Co. that they weren't looking for just a big arm, but a brain to match. If they wanted just an arm, they should have kept Peprica. And what quarterback doesn't need to mature to be great? Sure Ben Roth matured game wise quickly, but riding a motorcycle w/o a helmet and getting hurt? That's not TEAM mature. He was selfish and stupid. I want an upstanding character as much as a cannon-arm. No Kellan Winslow's here plz.

I'll admit, when they first drafted T-Jack I was pretty pissed. But a couple days later, after the dust had settled, I was talking smack to my friend (who is a Titan's fan) that T-Jack will mop the floor with Vince Young. I am completely sold on Jackson and beleive 100% that we have our future QB star.
PM me if you'd like a sig.
