My Interview with Jake Reed
Catching up with Jake Reed
Quote:
Former NFL WR Jake Reed spent 10 seasons as a Minnesota Viking from 1991-1999, then again in 2001. He had two brief stints in New Orleans in 2000 and 2002. He was taken in the 3rd round of the 1991 draft with a pick acquired in the infamous Herschell Walker trade.
For his career he caught 450 balls for nearly 7,000 yards and amassed 36 touchdowns. He currently ranks 2nd in Minnesota Vikings history with 12 plays of 50+ yards in his purple tenure.
I love the part about who he keeps in contact with..
Orlando Thomas was one of them, along with Andrew Glover..
Both of which I forgot!
Anyway, Great interview!

Very nice interview though...
Definitely worth a read for anybody who hasn't done so already!
Re: My Interview with Jake Reed
Jake Reed, one of the most underrated wide receivers ever. It didn't hurt that he played next to Carter, but one of my favorite players ever.

Don't take this the wrong way, cuz I love me some Reed, but I think his case of dropsies hurt his production a bit.
He had a stage early on, got it fixed, then it happened again, got it fixed again.
I think he had something wrong with his eyes if I remember right.
That was one reason I didn't give up on TW right away, I thought that if Reed could over come it, so could TW.
Reed did and TW didn't.
Like I said, I really dig Reed.
Back to the interview, he said some key things about that 1998 team that translate to this season... chemistry and teamwork.
It was a nice piece.
Re: My Interview with Jake Reed
My dad used to be his mechanic and he would come over to our house all the time. One of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I even have a ball signed by all of the 98 vikings that he got for me. Robert Tate also came over a few times as well.

Nice interview.
It puts me in mind of the "3 Deep" poster I used to have in my room back in the day.
Ah, memories.
I had no idea that Orlando Thomas was even sick, though.
And it's ALS, too.
That's a bummer - my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
