    My Honest Opinions

I agree about keeping Bennett, O. Smith is going to become a poison in the future. Mewelde is going to be a stud he runs hard and breaks alot of tackles.
But Russell has to go. Last year he played a simple defense, Dont let anyone behind you. This year I think the new defensive scheme was to much for him. His help was late all of the time, the only good game he had was the playoff game with GB. I think the team needs 2 new safeties via free agency, and at the least one LB and then they can make a decent run next year.

Listen, we need more Italian-American players, seriously. The Pats have five and they're about to win their third Super Bowl in four years, coincidence, I think not.

Now that's just silly. Everyone knows that what your REALLY need are the Irish. After all, look at all the great Irish players from the past:

    McTarkenton
    McPage
    McEller
    McMarshal
    Robert McSmith
    McRashad

    from other teams

    Jerry McRice
    Joe McMontana
    Bo McJackson
    Barry McSanders

    Current players:

    Daunte McCulpepper
    Randy McMoss
    Brett McFavre
    Kevin McWilliams
    Tom McBrady
    Mike Flannagan

    And the list goes on.

God loves the Irish. Fortunately, we also know God loves the rest of the world a little bit too, because he invented Whiskey. And THAT is the ONLY reason the Irish don't rule the McWorld.

Isn't Bennet prone to injuries? I think the guy is the bomb, but he's no Robert Smith. I think Moore is too new to be a featured back yet. A little mixed on O. Smith. We need ONE consistant back. The teams that have one back that is the center of attention are the teams that do better. three is entirely too confusing!
As far as Red, I don't like him because I think he is far too dishonest. He's a ral businessman at heart. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But I think the Vikes are just a business to him anymore, but not much more than that. He doesn't give a damn about anything else.
    Just an opinion.

LMAO, Caine. That's awesome, it reminds me of when I was a kid and we used to say all the best athletes were Italian. Even Michael Jordan (real name ... Michael Giordano, they changed it when his family moved from Sicily).
See, it's just as easy to add a vowel as it is to add a Mc.

    My Honest Opinions

Here are some running back career stats for you guys to chew on :!:

All stats are based on games as a starter only...(total played makes them look less impressive I guess.)

    Mewelde Moore 2004
    Rushing
    Yards - 379Y/3 games started = 126 yards/game avg. = 2016 yds./season
Yards per carry average - 5.8
    Receiving
    Receptions - 27/3 games = 9 receptions/game average = 144 rec./season
    Yards - 238Y/3 games = 79 yards/game average = 1264 yds./season
Yards per catch average - 8.8
I know he has only started 3 games but his potential seems promising...

    Onterrio Smith 2003-2004
    Rushing
    Yards - 1123Y/9 games started = 125 yards/game average = 2000 yds./season
Yards per carry average - 4.9
    Receiving
    Receptions - 51/9 games started = 6 receptions/game average = 96 rec./season
    Yards - 523Y/9 games started = 58 yards/game average = 928 yds./season
Yards per catch average - 10.3

    Michael Bennett 2001-2004
    Rushing
    Yards - 2701Y/43 games started = 63 yards/game average = 1008 yds./season
Yards per carry average - 4.6
    Receiving
    Receptions - 99/43 games started = 2 receptions/game average = 32 rec./season
    Yards - 916Y/43 games started = 21 yards/game average = 336 yds./season
Yards per catch average - 9.3

Hope you all find this fascinating... :salute:  8)

You are skewing the stats. You are looking at it in games started (as you stated) and that really gives a false analysis of their numbers. O. Smith for example: You have his numbers figured for 9 games started and he is averaging 125 YPG. When in fact, he has played in 26 games; nearly 3 times that number. So, he does not average 125 YPG.

You cannot take stats out of context to prove a point. A better stat would be his YPG when he is the starter. And maybe carries per game as a starter.

I'll leave it to you to figure out.
