Brian Murphy, who has been the Vikings' assistant special teams coach for the past three seasons, will be promoted, according to people with nowledge of the situation..

Did we just promote the guy who couldn't beat out the shittiest ST coach in the NFL to be our ST coach?

Yes, we did...

While this is a logical promotion for a guy who has been with the staff for three years, its another example of Chilly's stale, conservative style of management.
Instead of injecting some new blood in his staff to get a sliver of excitement, Chilly promotes one of 'his guys' that will do nothing to but kiss his ass because he owes his carreer to him.


We now have our equivalent to Bevell in the STC position.

We might as well put a face to the name because I am pretty sure we will be hearing alot of it next year.

IMO this is the final cog in the machine that childress has been building. I am looking for a run at 16-0 next year with no looking back.

Murphy might have worked under Ferraro but it's clear he wants to put his own stamp on some things.
