Much to be excited about - without Favre

Much to be excited about with Vikings - without Favre

You never know when your team might find its way to the Super Bowl.

The deeply flawed Arizona Cardinals whisked their way to that discovery last season, and then almost capped their mad dash by winning it all.

I already forgot that the Cardinals were in the SB last year.

Nice sumation of all the things we know, going to be a great season. The sky is the limit, if we get solid QB play, Rice steps up, and Harvin, and Jaymar make some big plays. The return of EJ to the defense is a huge boost, the same can be said for our special teams with the return of Heath. Yes things are shaping up nicely. ;D

I was listening to KFAN this morning, and Paul Allen (voice of the Vikings) was raving about the play of JaMarcus Sanford so far in training camp. Said he's a solid hitter, and fast.

Childress will start Johnson because he's not a rookie... it doesn't matter who has a better camp.

Yea, like we haven't seen him run rookies out there instead of vets before.

Adrian Peterson (who didn't start game 1 of the season...)

Last year, Tyrell Johnson because of injury to Williams...

Griffin, Cook, Jackson, Rice, Greenway.
They were all rookies at some point, and all took a vet's spot.

Thats all we've watched for the last 3 years.
Vets getting sent packing and rooks stepping on the field before they are ready and thats the only two that you can think of?
