Mr. 2000
Congratulations Mr. 2000!
While AD didn’t beat Dickerson’s record, falling short by just 9 yards, he did however not only surpass the 2,000 yard milestone, but out averaged Dickerson in YPC with 6.0 to Dickerson’s 5.6.
Dickerson still holds the single season rushing record for regular + post season play with 2212.
AD 2097 +?

Sadly no. Terrell Davis set that record in 1998. 2008 regular season yards followed by 468 post season yards. 2476! Peterson needs 380 yards to break the real single season record.

I can beat the dead horse and say Peterson should have been allowed a few more rushes against Texas. Unless his groin was bothering him, it would have been the right thing to do with a player that was close to a major record.
I can understand why Peterson was limited on his early season touches, but having to break 200 yards once again against the Packers was asking a lot knowing that Clay Matthews was back and likely going to run blitz on many plays.Last edited by Minniman; 01-01-2013 at 07:24 PM.
