Move over Marrdro - I'm back on the wagon!

With yesterday's win, Coach Childress has officially improved over last year.
That, my friends was the minimum I needed to see, and what I was asking for at the beginning of the season.
The fact that he will likely show much more improvement is awesome!

Halfway through the season, I faltered.
I lost my faith, and I hopped down off from the Childress band wagon.
It was an error in judgment on my part.
My friend Marrdro tried to tell me time and time again.
He tried to remind me that I was one of the people who championed the belief that it was too early to judge.
And yet I did anyway, even going so far as to call for his job after the Green Bay game.

I should have stuck to my convictions.
But now I see the error of my ways, and I take my place back on the wagon as a Coach Childress supporter (no jock strap jokes please ;D)).
It is a lot more crowded up here that it was when I got off, but there is still room for some more!

Here is to a strong future with Coach Childress leading the Vikings.

I want to say I was wrong, but I'm afraid they'll collapse as soon as I become a "childress supporter."

I was extremly positve coming into this season. But the Eagles loss left such a negative impression on me and I lost hope after that. Then the Packers loss sealed it (or so I thought).

I am back in positive mode, even if we didn't make the playoffs this year. We have a lot to build on for the future.

As I think it was too early to throw him out, I now think it's too early to crown him! You wanna crown ND crown him!! ;D Having AD would help any coach look good. I have hope as always, but will wait to see how this playoff run ends.

After we were 3-6 ,very few here had the guts to stay patience and keep believing in
the chiller ,one of those was Marrdro.....

For all of that I am glad to say Marrdro:

That is why I waited until he met the criteria I set forth at the beginning of the season before hopping back on.
I wanted to see improvement from last year.
And I have.
No matter how the next three game go, I see improvement in the following areas:

1) Record
2) QB play
3) RB play
4) OL pass blocking
5) OL run blocking
6) WR play
7) DL pash rush
8) LB coverage skills
9) TE run blocking

The only place I think we have declined is TE receiving, but the TE run blocking has made that moot.
There are several other areas that I think we have stayed the same: secondary, special teams, etc.
But overall as a team, we have improved.

Improvement every year is all I ask.
If we improve every year, it only takes a couple of years to be one of the dominant teams in the NFL.
I think Coach Childress and company have set us on the road to continuous improvement and sustained dominance.

Sorry, I closed and locked the Chilly bandwagon after last week's game :P

That is what they said about Reggie Bush last year.
Yet we have seen that you can have amazing talent and the head coach can still mismanage it.
One of the things Childress did was draw a hard line and forced the OL to accept and learn his blocking schemes.
It has paid off in spades.

I am not ready to crown him as the greatest coach ever :), but I am ready to offer him my support once again!
He has earned IMHO.

I'll agree with you on all your points... only I didn't have any faith in the Chiller coming into the season. 4 wins in a row is great to see and proves we are an improving team. I'm happy to eat crow... and I probably deserve some extra.
