I'd agree with him. The Pats beat the Vikes for #1 offense, had a better defense. Add in the fact that schemes are more complex, and players are bigger and stronger than even in 98, and that's a recipe for a winning team.

Moss had described the 98 vikes as 'streetball' in that there were times they'd improvise on the go. I bet you the Pats don't do that

Uh oh, someone hasn't gotten over the '98 choke job yet.

If it were a regular season game I think it'd be a close shoot out with the Patriots winning. If it were in a super bowl I think the Patriots win easy. The mind of Bill Belichick vs the mind of Denny Green would always give the Patriots the edge especially in the playoffs where the Green coached Vikings always struggled.

As far as the '07 Giants beating the '98 Broncos it's hard to say. Yeah the '07 Giants shutdown the most prolific offense ever but the '98 Broncos were better balanced. I don't think the Giants front 4 could have shutdown both Elway and Davis. Against the Patriots they only had to worry about Brady so they could pin their ears back. I think the Broncos win.

In fact had we not lost to Atlanta I don't think we would have beaten the Broncos in the super bowl. The Broncos were too balanced and the super bowl was outdoors on grass that year. Not exactly conducive conditions for any Viking team in recent memory.
