The Morning After
After a night of sleep to get rid of that awful taste left yesterday, here are my observations on yesterday's game:
1. The Offense has proved itself, yes they can be a comeback team if necessary.
2. The defense showed up in the fourth quarter, if they can play with that much intensity all game they have a chance to be a decent unit.
3. The fumble was a bad break, but it can be made irrelevant if the Vikings play up to their potential the rest of the year.
4. When Randy Moss comes back the Vikings = :king: of the NFC North!!
5. This team has a lot more heart than they showed last year and that gives me hope.
6. The Lions better watch out next week because this is one upset Viking team that is coming home!
Here is to moving on and taking care of business next Sunday, good luck Vikes!

Did it ever occur to u that maybe if your club did not give up 30plus points every game and allow 5.9 yards per rushing attempt that its chances of winning would greatly improve despite me paying off the refs.
Never underestimate the power of denial

Looks like something that I could have typed up after that MNF debaucle between the Pack and the Titans a few weeks back...sounds like your team needs to look in its own backyard before you start throwing stones (yeah, mixed metaphors, but who is really keeping track...LOL)."purplehorn" wrote:

I agree, we havent heard the last of the Vikings by a long shot. There is 7 games left to play yet. But I dont watch the Vikes except when they play the Packers, what is your sense of this team so far this year when they started hot and now have dropped 3 straight? Is the same sense of last year at this time when the slide started? I know Moss is coming back but the Vikes still managed to blow a commanding division lead with him last year. 2 of the 3 losses were close games, that could have went either way (or was it three of three?) During the slide last year was this the case as well? Or were the Vikes clearly defeated?
Inhale it. Savor it. Drink with your eyes and taste with every fiber of your flesh, revelations come through experience.

Call me crazy, but I agree with Cajun. After a nights sleep I realized a few things...We are lucky to be where we are right now. Yes, we dominated Detroit and Dallas, we got some very questionable calls against Washington and Minnesota, however both these games were in control. The Packers need to realize there is a 4th quarter in games even if we are up by 14 points.
As for the Vikings Defense and the Packers Defense, is it really worth debating which D is better? Both these squads are not good. Offensively, they can compete with anyone.
Overall, I said this before the season started, Both the Packers and Vikings will be in the Playoffs. With The G-Men beginning to choke, and I see only one team out of Seattle and St. Louis making the Playoffs. I know us Packer fans feel like we got a solid win and the Viking fans feel that we got away with one, if there is one common denominator (sp?) it is that both these teams are very solid and are definitely capable of keeping up with any team. Every team goes through some sort of struggle during the season and the Packers went through theres and the Vikes are going through theres. Im looking forward to a race to the end between these 2 teams.[img:ebda3835f6]http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/packer/img/insider/wallpaper/111504/walk640.jpg[/img:ebda3835f6]

The Vikings got there a$$ kicked last year during the slide, a loss is a loss but i clearly believe there is a difference between this years loss and last years. We will not continue to slide, we will climb out of this then we will beat the living sh*t out you in the dome. Strap yourself b*tches, because the refs arn't gonna be there to bail your ass out this time.

Of course when Sunday comes around, we expect to see our team win. Because we have to play the games we keep that hope for every game.
I am not jumping ship by a longshot.
If we lose to the Lions, which is a game we are suppose to win, I will start to worry. When we get Moss back and we lose, then I will start to worry. But until then, we are still on the right course.
9-7 on the season won't be acceptable for me.
This year is not last year.
