Sounds like Sapp has his head in the right place, and yes, it definetly is showing on the field of play this season.

Benny has been a little lightning in a bottle all year............Not only in the Nickel package but he has been a ST standout as well.

I thought he sucked last year. I wanted to see him gone.
Total opposite this year. He's making some good plays and is more consistant.
Sometimes it's nice to be wrong about a player.

Last game he really made a case for himself.
If he can keep it up over the whole season I'll be happy with him as our nickel.
If Allen can pick up his game too, we can have some pretty good corners.

It's as if he fits into the D perfectly. Then again, have we played a dangerous slot WR yet? Hmmm...

It will also be interesting to see how this affects Asher Allen's development.

Heh heh, I opened this thread thinking Warren Sapp (who has matured, and who I've really been enjoying on Inside the NFL lately).

But yeah, Benny Sapp has been playing pretty well of late. Now if he could teach our linebackers a few things about covering the pass in the middle of the field, he'd be really valuable.

I think letting Asher learn on the bench is a good thing
