BS, why do they have him returning 3 punt returns.

I just don't buy it.

I don't think he is in the doghouse, I just think they made a decision to play Bennett and not give up on him. Also to keep people from criticizing too much.
Read the article I posted SIA. It explains why he wasn't running the ball during the game from the backfield.

"Moore watches Bennett get bulk of backfield duty"
singersp, I did read that even before posting. All I hear is injury and running the ball. DelRio is the only one that gave me any real reason why he wasn't in there. We hear Moore say he is ready and he will carry it in one hand most of the time. We don't hear the coaches say it will be tough to block. Bennett was in there for a reason, mass protect like DR said. Moore isn't good at that anyway.

Do you(all) really want the guy in there if you a using that sceme the whole game? Does it matter if your opinion is that Moore is a better RB when he wasn't going to be running anywhere?

Even though we didn't run anywhere, we took a couple of shots down field. Even though the running wan't that productive, they were expecting us to try, then we took our chances. They may not have had to respect the run, but we almost got them on the pumpfake by Brad to T-Wil. BJ threw a bad ball or it would have been 6. BTW, I called that play right b4 it happened in the live chat, any witnesses?

Re: Moore in the Tice doghouse?

I think the injury was an excuse for Tice to go with his boy Bennet, and Del Rio has a point, Tice has to be upset with MeMo's inability to pass block at all ... something Bennett has actually shown solid ability to do over the past few years. Tice also was frustrated with Moore last year for being out so long with his injuries, and I am wondering if he thinks Moore was not willing to tough this one out enough.
I wouldn't be suprised to see Bennett in the game to start the Packers game. He ran hard and blocked well yesterday, sure he did not get much, but neither did anyone else on offense, there are a whole lot of issues there.
I personally would like to see MeMo, but would not be surprised to see Bennett.

I think we'll see both backs in there against the Pack, much like the Lions game!

Re: Moore in the Tice doghouse?

From the article I posted on Tice knee;

Moore is starter

Tice made it clear that running back Mewelde Moore will return to his starting role against Green Bay after not getting a carry Sunday.

"Mewelde will start," Tice said. "The reason that Mewelde didn't play was because of the wrist. That is the end of it. There was no other reason. Mewelde is the starter at tailback, and I thought we were better served not to play him."

Moore, who returned a punt 71 yards for a touchdown Sunday, was kept off the field on offense because of a sprained right wrist and a brace on the injury that only would have enabled him to carry the ball in his left hand. Michael Bennett started and gained 16 yards on 19 carries; the Vikings had 12 net rushing yards, second-worst in franchise history.

Re: Moore in the Tice doghouse?

i know this has been stated before but i seriously doubt Moore would have done any better against the Giants run D. we ran into a team that is having an awesome couple games on the defensive side the ball. let's not cry about who was in the backfield or who we feel would have got more yeards. WE WON THE GAME that's all that matters to me at least

Thanks Josdin
