"A moment of silence for our offense...."

Brad Johnson comment of a situation during the Panthers game in 4th Qtr......

"The crowd noise was so loud, I couldn't hear the play call from the intercom come into my headset," he (Brad Johnson) said. "So I couldn't tell the play, couldn't tell the formation. ... I didn't want to panic, so I just called a timeout."

Yea, I know....I was one of those people trying to keep quiet but it was louder than it should be when the Vikes had the ball late.

The fans were cheering, "Let's go Vikings, let's go" before the snap to rally the team before & while the team was in the huddle.

What they don't realize, is that the play(s) are being called in during that time.

On the tube it sounded like a mortuary until the big turnover in the 4th.
    Was that the case?

    Not at all.
The crowd was really into the game, especially when the Panthers were facing 3rd-downs.
We were all pretty frustrated, however, with some of Childress's calls - like the 3rd-and-15 draw play with MeMo on the first drive.

The crowd was into it, but the crowd excitment slowly started to dwindle in the second quarter and then into the third.

The crowd was pretty sedated until that botched punt return.
