Mocking the game - Peterson will play tonight

    http://www.startribune.com/blogs/vikings/?p=858
The Vikings worked through their pre-game routine (known as a “Mock Game”) today in preparation for the preseason opener Friday night against St. Louis. A few notes before heading up Hwy. 169 ourselves:

*RB Adrian Peterson (hip pointer) said he was told today he will play against the Rams. Officially, coach Brad Childress said Peterson’s status is a game-time decision.

I kinda liked what this one guy said in the talk below the article.
    As follows:
    1. See AP run in a game situation
    2. See if McCauley is as good as advertised.
    3. See if the Vikings can pressure the QB.
    4. The O-Line play, especially the right side.

I think that guy has a decent idea of what to look for.

I would like to see our offense do the following:

1st Down - AP runs to left for 2 yds

2nd Down - CT runs to right for 3 yds

3rd Down - TJ pass to CT for 4 yds

    4th Down - Punt

I think my chances are pretty good, unfortunately

I want to see the 1st string move the ball and score. On defense we need to get pressure on third down, force a punt and get off the field.

No pre-snap penalties. A good push from our o-line, allowing AP, and CT, to slash a good run. Then I want T-Jack to be decisive, and get the ball out with accuracy. Wouldn't mind seeing Troy make a grab in traffic. Hopefully the new guys Wade, Shiancoe, and the rookies all have a ball thrown their way too.
